Vessel Agent Are you an experienced ships agent, looking to make your next career move and join a large, well established, global shipping line The Role: Primarily you will be responsible for working within a team, ensuring the safe & efficient delivery of Port Agency activities to the company’s large fleet of vessels calling at Southampton. You will be responsible for the safe arrival & turnaround of vessels, dealing with various port authorities, arranging pilotage, and berthing space. Managing immigration compliance and dealing with any needs of the ship’s captain & crew in the way of medical appointments or assisting in replenishing ships stores. The successful candidate will need to monitor vessel movements throughout region Europe via various means including but not limited to direct contact with Vessel Master also allocating berths in principle to group vessels based upon technical knowledge of the fleet and berthing situation in Southampton, consulting with the Port to ensure safety and commercial expectations are met. You will also be responsible for manifesting cargo, processing Customs entries and managing releases and shipping documentation. Essential Criteria: Full British Driving LicencePrevious experience in Vessel Agency/Husbandry role,Knowledge of UK immigration rules for seafarersAble to be flexible with working hours, including weekends & Bank HolidaysGood attention to detail About the Company: Our client is a leading global shipping line & logistics company, with offers worldwide.
