We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a growing specialist scientific testing company who have several sites in the UK.

The company offers a range of testing solutions to the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industry.

The role:

Working as a Business Development Manager you will respond proactively to new business opportunities, working with new & existing clients to develop and grow the company's business.

Duties include:

  • Generate revenue by developing new business opportunities.
  • New business development activities to generate new leads and sales opportunities.
  • Arrange onsite client meetings and attending business events/ trade fairs.
  • Develop new and existing client relationships
  • Deliver presentations and provide information & quotes to customers.
  • Work with technical managers and other Sales Managers to write and deliver proposals to clients.

Ideal candidates for the BD Manager role will:

Have a background in Science such as Analytical Chemistry or Biology and have experience working for the Pharmaceutical, Environmental, Materials Testing, or Medical Device industry, ideally within the contract testing industry.

You will have previous experience as a Business Development Manager/ BD Executive within the scientific industry, ideally in contract testing.

To be successful in this role you will be self-motivated with excellent communication, problem solving and influencing skills.

The Business Development Manager role is fully remote/ working from home and comes with an attractive base salary and OTE, plus a car allowance and further benefits.
