Clinical Disability Assessor / Functional Assessor

Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 + Bonus Scheme

Hours: Monday – Friday (37.5hrs/09:00am – 17:00pm) Part Time hours available after training.

Location: Gateshead (NE11 – Postal Area)

Hybrid Position: 3 Days Homebased & 2 Days on Site.

Training Programme: Training for the role is provided with a high-quality training programme. This is Hybrid training scheme and fully funded.

Start Date: June 2024 onwards – Can accommodate Notice periods.

Qualifications Sought:

All the below occupations MUST HAVE at least 1 years in the clinical field and 1 years registered on the NMC/HCPC body. – This is ESSENTIAL.

  • Adult – Registered Nurse, RGN, RMN, RNLD.
  • Adult Physiotherapist
  • Adult Occupational Therapist
  • Adult Paramedics

Training Programme:

  • 6 Month Hybrid Training programme fully funded, divided into 5 stages. The program requires full-time working hours for 6 Month before transitioning to part-time hours.
  • Robust support system provided throughout and after training.

Requirements:


  • Strong typing skills 35 – 40wpm – this is essential.
  • Strong IT Skills – able to use and adapt to new databases.
  • Full HCPC/NMC registration – Must Have 1 years on the NMC/HCPC Body and in the clinical field.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Main Duties:


  • Speak with individuals claiming PIP benefit either over face to face / telephone or virtual assessments.
  • Conduct consultation sessions with cases organised, freeing you from appointment admin.
  • Work with people presenting complex conditions, including physical, mental health, cognitive and sensory impairments.
  • Meeting Targets and completing clinical tasks.
  • Conduct thorough functional medical assessments of disabilities or conditions.
  • Write and submit reports using a specialised IT System.
