The Position

Applications are invited for a Control Room Operative at our SecAnim Ltd, Widnes site. This site is a 24-hour operation running 365 days per year. The position is full time, permanent working 12-hour shifts, on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (days and nights).

As a Control Room Operative your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

  • Overseeing the process including the electrical generation from renewable energy sources.
  • Working under Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Continuous process operation.
  • Finished product quality.
  • Troubleshooting production / engineering problems on a busy Energy Plant, including basic engineering knowledge.
  • Working as a Team member.
  • Data Logging and Sampling.
  • Environmental and general compliance under IPPC regulations and EMS 14001 accreditation.

The Person

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing / factory environment, ideally in an energy plant that specialises in Steam and Generation. Recycling industry experience is beneficial.
  • Take a proactive approach to problem solving and produce appropriate solutions to reduce disruption to working processes.
  • Have a calm and methodical approach to work and be able to work under pressure within time constraints.
  • Manage workload and daily task effectively and troubleshoot as and when required.
  • Must be a team worker, helping the team to be developed and maintained.
