Entry level Credit Controller

We are seeking a Credit Controller who is ready to take on the challenge of managing a significant portion of a large sales ledger. This role is ideal for both experienced candidates and those at entry level with the potential to shine. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to work independently and the opportunity to demonstrate their effective time management skills.

• Manage a portion of a large sales ledger, both in value and volume.
• Work independently to monitor overdue payments using company systems and Excel spreadsheets.
• Proactively chase current and outstanding debt to ensure timely payment.
• Communicate confidently and professionally with customers and management to facilitate debt collection.
• Liaise with other departments to resolve queries swiftly, aiming to minimise bad debt.
• Prepare statements and reports on high-risk accounts, escalating to Management and Board Members as necessary.
• Collaborate with the finance team on cash allocation and invoice raising.
• Perform general administrative tasks essential to the credit control function.

• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Strong communication skills with a confident and professional approach.
• Proficiency in using Excel and other financial systems for monitoring payments and accounts.
• Keen attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards debt collection.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in credit control is advantageous but not essential for entry-level candidates.
