Lecturer in Multi - Trades

Hours: 37 per week
Salary: £38,345 - £40,595 per annum

Leeds College of Building is the UK’s only specialist further education construction college and we have an excellent reputation for providing quality education in Construction and the Built Environment.

We are looking for a qualified lecturer willing to share their knowledge and skills with pre and post 16 students. You should have relevant industry experience and the ability to deliver multi-trade courses and hold a relevant qualification at Level 3 or above. The ability to communicate effectively with young people and adults and enthusiasm to help them achieve their qualification is essential. The Skills Academy has a wide and varied curriculum however we are looking for a new member of the team to predominantly work with 14-19 year old’s.

Experience of working in a teaching/training capacity is desirable but not essential. A willingness to undertake teaching and assessing qualifications will be essential.  

This role is eligible for the DfE Levelling Up Premium Payments, of up to £6,000 for FE teachers, for those meeting the criteria. This involves the government paying successful candidates from an industry background to get into teaching. Leeds College of Building will fund successful candidates to become a qualified FE teacher.
