Brockenhurst College has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Enrolment Assistant to join the team in Brockenhurst. You will join us on a casual basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £13.10 per hour including holiday uplift.

We are a high-achieving college who attract around 3,000 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.

Responsibilities:

1) Provide customer service and admin support to the Student Services Admin Team.  Duties include:

- welcoming and directing new students to the college

- preparing and collating information for staff and students using Microsoft Office and college systems 

- responding to phone and email enquiries promptly

- maintaining filing and document management systems

- shredding or disposing of confidential waste

2)  Communicate with applicants, students and their parents via phone, Teams and face-to-face

3) Carry out duties with efficiency and diplomacy, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times

4)  Carry out such other duties within the Student Services Admin Team and Reception commensurate with the grade of the post.

The ideal Temporary Enrolment Assistant will need:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Grade C in English and Grade D or above in Mathematics
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • A desire to achieve excellent interpersonal, communication, organisation and administrative skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service
  • Commitment to maximising opportunities for own learning and development
  • Flexibility in working pattern to cover peak times
