Trainee Graduate Role - R&D Tax
It’s not very often that roles like this are created. … A position that is the first step on the ladder that can shape your career both in the UK or Internationally.
You might not have heard of R&D before, it’s a niche area of tax, but an industry that is worth £Billions and is continuing to grow year on year.
This role has been created as the company is looking to increase their team and they are looking to employ two R&D Tax Consultants to start in August or September.
You’ll have all the training that you need and will be mentored by someone who has worked in the industry for years.
So, what is R&D and what would you be doing?
R&D stands for Research and Development … Essentially companies get a tax credit for innovation.
At this Consultancy, you will be working with Companies to calculate and process their R&D Claims, it’s a varied role and you will be learning everything from the Financial Analysis, Report Writing through to dealing with the companies and HMRC.
Loads of companies qualify for R&D … Construction, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing … You know the companies that create Video games and software, yep, they are also a massive market for R&D.
So, how will you progress your career?
R&D is a hugely sought-after skill and simply there are not enough people in the Industry. … You can progress your career in many ways. Whether that being in R&D Consultancies, Firms of Accountants or even moving Internationally.
You might be interested to know that even after two short years, you would probably be on double your starting salary. … It pays very well.
So, what do you need?
We can look at people from a number of different backgrounds for this role.
Ideally you will be graduating this year in a relatable degree (Accountancy & Finance / Economics / Engineering and Chemistry) are all good starting points.
This role will build on your analysis and technical skills and they need someone to be bright and personable.
