Position - Workshop Leading Hand

Location - Horsham

Are you passionate about heavy machinery and construction equipment? Do you thrive in a dynamic workshop environment, where teamwork and skill development are paramount? SMT GB is seeking a Workshop Leading Hand to lead our team of skilled engineers at our Horsham location.

Role Overview:

As a Workshop Leading Hand at SMT GB, you'll be at the forefront of our workshop operations. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around mentoring and guiding our team of engineers while actively participating in daily activities. You'll collaborate closely with the Workshop Coordinator to ensure the seamless running of our busy construction/heavy machinery/plant workshop.

Requirements:

  • Hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land Based Engineering or HGV Maintenance
  • Have mechanical experience working on construction, heavy plant, agricultural machinery, or HGV’s.
  • Have a comprehensive understand of hydraulics and electronics.
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence
  • Have the right to work in the UK without the requirement of sponsorship
