The role of the General Manager is to assist the senior leadership to identify and implement a successful and progressive strategy that delivers business growth. Taking day to day responsibility for the business operations and its people. Working to develop a positive culture that inspires people to do their best and enhances their personal and departmental development. In their day to day role the General Manager will provide strong leadership and be a visible and approachable person who works alongside colleagues at all level of the business. Our customers include some of the worlds largest manufacturing companies from steel works to Food and Beverage manufacturing so a good knowledge of Engineering would be an advantage and a reasonable knowledge of manufacturing processes is essential. Objectives for this role Understand and implement the business strategy.Review and improve organisational processes.Oversee employees and their development.Create a stable environment to grow the business.Develop operational excellence in all departments of the business.Find opportunities for expansion and growth through building relationships.Provide guidance and feedback throughout the business.Develop a motivational working environment. Responsibilities Oversee the successful day to day operations of the business.Assign performance targets and oversee the company score card and analytics.Recruit, onboard and develop a high performance team that achieves the business strategy and delivers profitable growth.Implement budgets and identify resource requirements for business activities.Oversee and enforce the quality management systems and identify opportunities to improve and enhance our processes in line with business developments.Quickly and efficiently resolve staff issues to the mutual benefit of all involved. Required Skills Proven track record of success in a managerial role.Be able to confidently make well thought out decisions.Excellent communication, and delegation skills.Collaborate well between different departments.Highly capable at leading and motivating employees whilst building accountability.Strong working knowledge of our business operating procedures.Holding effective purpose driven meetings.General knowledge of HR processes.Skilled in delivering performance evaluations.
