Home School Tutor - Singapore/France

Equal Education Partners are collaborating with a distinguished family in search of an exceptional Home School Tutor with a strong background in tutoring and high-level educational qualifications. The position is based in Singapore and the South of France and is ideal for passionate tutors with a propensity for scientific inquiry, and a sense of adventure.

This role involves regular international travel with the family to ensure the provision of consistent, high-quality education for their children, regardless of their location.

The family has four children, all currently aged four, who they intend to home school from now through to the end of primary/elementary school, and potentially beyond. They are eager to establish a long-term relationship with an outstanding tutor who will be welcomed into their homes and lives, while respecting mutual privacy and the importance of work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish robust, high-trust relationships with both parents and all four children
  • Design and implement a highly engaging curriculum for the children, considering their individual needs and a variety of subjects, with a focus on fostering their scientific curiosity, creativity, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning
  • Collaborate with parents to foster effective communication and partnership
  • Monitor and assess student performance, modifying teaching methods as required
  • Provide prompt and constructive feedback on each student’s progress
  • Develop high-impact enrichment opportunities for learning beyond the classroom, leveraging the natural environment
  • Adapt learning opportunities according to students’ progress and the family’s needs
  • Accompany the family on their international travels, dividing time between Singapore and the South of France
Requirements
  • Teaching qualification/certification or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in tutoring and home-school teaching
  • Familiarity with international curricula and educational systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
  • An interest in interdisciplinary learning and holistic approaches to education
  • The chosen candidate will be highly trustworthy, dedicated, discreet, and diligent
  • Advanced educational qualifications (Master’s degree or higher) are highly desirable
  • Proficiency in multiple languages, musical abilities, and/or sporting interests are advantageous but not essential
