The opportunity
Nigel Wright Business Support Team are recruiting for a new Logistics Administrator position based in Leeds working for a global manufacturing company. Established for several decades they have established a global customer based and are now looking to add a new Logistics Administrator to the Team

Logistics Administrator
Full Time Office Hours - 8.30am - 4.30pm
Based in Leeds - Free Parking
Permanent position with an immediate start


The role...
Working as part of the busy Logistics Team you will support the smooth running of the department. Providing a high level of customer service to all clients, working to deadlines and ensuring high standard of support. Some of the key responsibilities will be:
  • Speaking with customers to update on the status of their order and providing freight quotations upon request.
  • Arranging shipments with both couriers and freight fowarders to ensure current shipment and delivery of goods
  • Responsible for producing the required shipment documentation and liaising with external organisations to ensure all is correct.
  • Acting as first point of contact for various teams including warehouse staff, couriers and freight forwarders relating to any dispatch related matters
  • Produce and maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.

What we are looking for...
This position is a varied position that requires someone with experience within a similar role and the following skills:
  • Previous experience within a Logistics Admin position
  • Experience of import and export documentation
  • Competent in MS Office
  • Ability to work on own initiative to manage a busy workload whilst still working with the team to ensure deadlines are met
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills when liaising with a wide variety of people
  • Strong Attention to details
  • Experience of 3PL Platforms, knowledge of Incoterms and customs documentation would be highly beneficial but not essential.
