We are currently recruiting ad-hoc Chef's for our clients in Aberdeen.

This will be for temporary contracts - to cover holidays, sickness and provide cover for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes according to recipes and standards.
  • Handle and prepare ingredients ensuring the highest quality and freshness.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety.
  • Support senior chefs in daily kitchen tasks, including but not limited to, chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Uphold standards of food presentation and garnishing.
  • Contribute creative ideas to menu development and special event planning.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a kitchen assistant, commis chef, or relevant role is required.
  • Basic understanding of culinary techniques and cooking methods.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for food.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
