Technical Analyst - Divestment Programme

On behalf of Tesco Bank, AMS are now looking for x5 Technical Analysts to work in their team on a major divestment programme. This is a remote first role with once/quarter travel to their Edinburgh office required. Contract length is 6-12 months with possibility of further extension or conversion to a permanent position depending on candidate and client appetite.

Role context

The purpose of the role is to support on the Barclays/Tesco Bank partnership. You will assist in the divestment itself. Existing Tesco Bank workers will move across to Barclays as part of their transition separation agreement; you will then backfill those workers. There is therefore a lot of scope for different skillsets.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret complex data related to the divestment programme.
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors and stakeholders across CX, Smarter Decisioning, CRET, and API teams.
  • Manage stakeholder/client relationships and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work in an agile environment, utilizing methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Produce system design documents and technical specifications.
  • Support data separation and migration efforts, ensuring accurate mapping of data from source to target systems.
  • Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, Service Now, Microsoft SharePoint, Visio, and Teams for project management and collaboration.
  • Work under tight deadlines, managing multiple deliverables and activities concurrently.
  • Obtain agreement on key decisions and secure sign-off from stakeholders for project milestones and deliverables.

Required Key Skills

  • Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of IT systems and technologies.
  • Proven ability of managing stakeholder/client relationships and expectations.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines, supporting multiple deliverables/activities at any point in time.
  • Ability to obtain agreement on key decisions with sign off from stakeholders.

Preferred key skills:

  • Demonstrated capability in analysing & interpreting complex data.
  • Experience in Banking and Insurance financial services.
  • Experience in data separation & migration, familiar with mapping data from source to target systems and ensuring data is accurately migrated.
  • Experience in producing system design documents and technical specifications.
  • Experience working in an agile environment (familiar with Scrum, Kanban, Sprints) with experience in managing Agile artefacts.
  • Experience of using Jira, Confluence, Service Now, Microsoft SharePoint, Visio, Teams.
