We have an opportunity to join our finance team as a Credit Controller you will Assist with the processing of payments associated with member contributions and ensuring that outstanding debts associated with these are effectively managed.? Work with the Billing lead, to ensure DNA charges are effectively recovered from clients.  Key responsibilities: Own the?debtor account and ensure processes are in place to identify and collect all member contributions in a timely mannerEmbed monthly review processes, including the management of monthly debtor review processes within FinanceUpdate and present the monthly?debtor dashboard to management and provide insight into the movements in the monthly debt balancesDeal with associated queries to facilitate timely paymentMaintain regular contact with debtors through telephone calls and emails to obtain timely payment of due balancesIdentify and escalate disputed accounts and define resolutionsLiaise with customers and internal staff to resolve issues quickly and efficientlySetting up new customer accounts ensuring all information is present and correctReconcile remittance advices against client accountsProducing and distributing monthly statements to clients where necessaryMaintaining excellent customer relationships at all times Qualifications and Experience:  Effective communicator, ability to manage difficult conversations with clients Experience of working in fast-paced Finance team, with focus on debt management is essential Ability to work within a team, understand processes & work proactively is essential IT literate with intermediate experience of Excel (Pivot Tables, V Lookups) Confident, articulate and adept in obtaining information Organised/methodical in approach to work and able to prioritise appropriately   "Don’t meet every single requirement? As part of the finance department, the credit control team plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our firm.In London, the team comprises of 63 finance professionals across a wide range of areas including management and financial accounting, transaction processing, partner accounting, tax, treasury, pricing and commercial decision support. This role will be to sit in a team of 5, comprised of a Manager, 3 credit controllers and an assistant. Role Overview: The ideal candidate will have experience in credit control, preferably within the legal or professional services industry. While prior experience with ARCS and Aderent systems is advantageous, it is not mandatory. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing credit control functions, maintaining strong relationships with partners, and presenting financial statistics to stakeholders. This role requires a proactive and confident individual who can contribute to achieving monthly cash targets and reducing bad debt. Key Responsibilities: Perform credit control duties to ensure timely payment of invoices and minimise bad debt.Liaise with partners and stakeholders to address payment queries and resolve outstanding issues.Utilize ARCS and Aderent systems to manage credit control processes efficiently (previous experience desirable but not essential).Monitor and report on aged debt, cash flow, and debtor performance.Present financial statistics and analysis to partners and senior management.Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement strategies for improving cash flow and reducing debtor days.Maintain accurate records of communications and actions taken regarding credit control activities.
