We Can Offer You: A competitive salary for main grade EPs: Soulbury Scale A, 3 - 8 with up to 3 SPA points (existing SPA points will be transferred and starting point of A5 for newly qualified EPs) £46,525 - £56,540 per annum. SPA points 1 and 2 are automatically awarded after 1 and 2 years successful practice. We also work closely with colleagues in health and in particular services for emotional wellbeing and mental health. We are committed to promoting positive futures for all children and young people. We work collaboratively through the application of psychological theory, research and techniques with children and young people, their families and professionals to understand what is happening, develop empathy and agree effective support to enable children to thrive in their local communities. About the Roles We are looking to enhance our capacity to deliver a sustainable preventative offer to schools and to strengthen our emotional wellbeing and mental health offer in partnership with health colleagues. You will join a friendly and skilled area team providing psychological support to early years, primary, secondary and specialist settings. You will have access to a wide range of resources including our innovative 'virtual assessment room'. I am looking for Educational Psychologists who are able to complete statutory assessments, for local authorities nationwide. We have a number of positions available, both remote working and face2face and inside & outside IR35. Educational psychologists work for the local authority providing their analysis of children's needs and how these can be met in particular environments. They may be involved in discussion, and consultation with parents, relating to which type of school placement would best meet a child's educational needs. As an educational psychologist, you'll work collaboratively with children and young people from birth to 25 years old, alongside families and schools, on a variety of issues. These can include supporting children with learning difficulties or communication needs, and helping schools to meet the needs of young people who are finding it difficult to manage their emotions. Educational psychologists work at various different levels: on an individual level - assessing a child's needs and working with schools to implement provision that meets the identified needsat a group level - supporting a set of children with similar needssupporting the systems around the child - for example, supporting a school to develop their inclusion policy.
