Key responsibilities: Creating lesson plans tailored to the student's learning styleAssessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting systemDeliver engaging sessions to support a range of learning stylesDrive measurable outcomes from each session to measure impactWork collaboratively with educational/care stakeholders ensuring student support.Working in accordance with the KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines. Desired experience: Experienced in tutoring one to one or small groups of pupils who require additional educational or pastoral supportExperience in taking supervision and correction constructivelyExperience working in inclusion units, special settings or alternative provisionsExperience in working with students with SEN, children with undiagnosed SEN, disengaged young people or looked after children Responsibilities: Demonstrate academic competence in the subject area(s) and build a curriculum, creating lesson plans individual to the student's learning styleAssessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting systemAssisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic tasksAssisting students in understanding key concepts, especially those learned in the classroomContribute to students' learning, growth and advancementMaintain a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practiceWork collaboratively with schools, foster carers and social workers in order to ensure the student receives tailored supportWorking in accordance with the KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines Essential qualities: Inspirational, effective & flexible communications skillsCompetent IT skills, access to laptop/computer, audio and visualStable broadband & internet connectionAbility to develop meaningful relationships, encourage and motivate students.
