Description

The BSc (Hons) Psychology includes many thought-provoking topics, including forensic and investigative psychology, education psychology, the psychology of sport and exercise, and critical social psychology. You’ll also get to develop your knowledge within a particular psychology topic of interest by writing a 30-credit final project.

Upon graduation, you’ll have a strong understanding of the scientific and theoretical underpinnings of the discipline. You’ll also develop detailed knowledge of several specialised areas/ applications of psychology, including the ability to recognise the variability and diversity of psychological functioning (and its significance).

You’ll develop a number of transferable skills including critical-thinking, communication, evidence-based reasoning, investigative abilities, data analysis and lots more.

The BSc (Hons) Psychology is made up of the following modules and, upon completion, is equal to a total of 180 credits. Shorter awards are available for this course.

Shorter awards are available for this course; the 16-month postgraduate diploma (PG Dip) at 120 credits and the 8-month postgraduate certificate (PG Cert) at 60 credits.

Who is this course for?

Provided you gain at least a Lower Second-Class (2.2) Honours degree overall – as well as passing your Final Psychology Project with a minimum grade of 40% – you’ll be eligible for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership with BPS.
