Programming languages and computer coding have made life simpler for us. Whether it’s automobiles, banks, home appliances, or hospitals, every aspect of our lives depends on codes. No wonder, coding is one of the core skills required by most well-paying jobs today. Coding skills are especially of value in the IT, data analytics, research, web designing, and engineering segments.

Computer programming language, any of various languages for expressing a set of detailed instructions for a digital computer. Such instructions can be executed directly when they are in the computer manufacturer-specific numerical form known as machine language, after a simple substitution process when expressed in a corresponding assembly language, or after translation from some “higher-level” language. Although there are many computer languages, relatively few are widely used.

Description

Python Programming: Python is a versatile general-purpose programming language employed in web development, data science, prototyping, and more. Its user-friendly syntax makes it accessible to beginners, facilitating easy learning.

R Programming: R is a programming language and software environment designed for statistical analysis, graphical representation, and reporting. Available under the GNU General Public License, it offers pre-compiled versions for Linux, Windows, and Mac.

Java Programming: Core Java is a facet of the Java programming language used for creating general-purpose applications, online application development, and mobile apps.

JSP (Java Server Pages): JSP serves as a server-side technology that processes tasks on the server. It facilitates the creation of dynamic web apps using Java.

Java Servlets: Java Servlets extend server capabilities for managing complex requests from webservers. They are efficient as they don't create new processes for each request.

HTML5 and CSS3:XHTML, a variant of HTML following XML syntax, and CSS, the language for defining webpage presentation, collectively shape web design.

JavaScript: JavaScript, a scripting language, empowers the creation and control of dynamic website content without manual page reloading.

ReactJS: React, a UI library, fosters reusable component-based user interfaces that adapt to changing data.

Node.js: Node.js, built on Chrome's JavaScript Engine, facilitates server-side and networking application development using JavaScript.

Angular 8: Angular, an open-source framework using TypeScript, crafts client-side web apps, often incorporating JavaScript for interactive elements.

Shell Scripting:Shell scripting offers a Unix system interface, gathering user input and executing programs based on it.

C and Embedded C:C, efficient and portable, excels in tasks demanding direct hardware interaction. Embedded C tailors C for resource-limited environments like microcontrollers.

C++: An extension of C, C++ merges low-level memory control with high-level object-oriented features, catering to diverse software development needs.

SQL Programming with MySQL:MySQL, a potent database program, handles extensive functionality, particularly compatible with PHP. SQL is the standard for relational databases.

DataWeave: DataWeave, a domain-specific language, specializes in data transformation and manipulation, ideal for integration and structured data formats like XML, JSON, and CSV.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
