The RQF Mental Health Awareness Level 2 covers topics such as understanding mental health, stress, phobias, anxiety, eating disorders, post-natal depression, and schizophrenia among others – all conditions labelled under the topic mental health.

The TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills (RQF) covers topics such as counselling skills, helping relationships, personal development, and counselling theory. To be a counsellor, you need to understand how to use core counselling skills and theoretical understanding. This course introduces the learner to counselling skill theories and the significance of counselling theory.

This course allows you to gain two fully recognised qualifications. RQF qualifications are nationally recognised qualifications which are based on the national framework of qualifications at all levels. Like NVQs they cover the functions of managing activities, people, resources, information, energy, and quality. Assessment

You will be assessed on your knowledge and skills through a mix of questions and written activities. Whilst the course is knowledge based and does not require a placement to complete, you will be expected to demonstrate how you have used core counselling skills through a witness testimony based on a roleplay/simulation which you undertake. This testimony will be prepared by your peers, tutor or assessor and your tutor will support you fully with how this can be achieved.
