Description

The TQUK Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) provides learners with the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and understanding to enable learners to perform the role of internal quality assurer.

The Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) is regulated by Ofqual. This qualification is equivalent to the D34/35 and V1 Award – former internal quality assurance qualifications.

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level two in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

The qualification is suitable for learners of 19 years of age and above. Learners should be working towards or already in an internal quality assurance role.

You must have access to work with two assessors as part of the qualification, who each have two learners they assess.

This qualification is made up from the following units:

Unit One:Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment

Unit Two: Internally assure the quality of assessment

Course Assessment

  • This course is assessed in a number of ways:
  • Complete nine written assessments
  • Undertake sampling of four learners, across two different assessors, completing an IQA sampling plan and four IQA reports
  • Take part in a standardisation meeting
  • Be observed by your Expert Witness
  • Complete a Personal Statement

We expect you to spend approximately 120 hours on completion of this qualification – typically learners will spread these hours over 3-6 months but you can complete quicker or slower if required.

Anybody working in a training/teachign organisation that would like responsibility for the internal quality assurance process.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
