Learners will achieve 36 credits across 6 units:

  • Delivering education and training
  • Using resources for education and training
  • Assessing learners in education and training

Duration

Typically, distance learning students complete this course within 6-9 months although students are able to take up to 12 months to complete the qualification.

This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence which must cover all assessment criteria of the units selected. Assessments include:

The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF) formerly known as CTLLS, is suitable for those who are in a teaching or training role and wish to develop further knowledge. It is also suitable for trainee teachers as well as those who have experience in a teaching role.

Requirements

Learners must be aged 19+ years to be enrolled onto this course. You must be in a training or teaching role, or moving into a teaching role in the near future as you must be able to log 30 hours of teaching/training and be observed for three hours.
