Module 1: An Overview of Speech Therapy

In module one, we will gain an insight into the field of Speech & Language Therapy and the duties of a Speech & Language Therapy assistant, including the skills required to work in this field.

Module 2: The Science of Speech

In module two, we will enrich our knowledge and understanding of speech science and the study of speech communication. It covers the speech chain model and the principle theories of speech.

Module 3: The Anatomy of Speech

In Speech & Language Therapy module three, we will deepen our understanding of speech anatomy, exploring the body parts and muscles that are involved in speech production.

Module 4: Characteristics of Speech: Linguistic Disciplines

In Speech & Language Therapy module four, we will take a look at the different characteristics of speech, from intonation to speech flow and volume of speech. It also explores intelligibility in children and adults with speech and language disorders.
