This course is intended as an Introduction to the Python programming language. Through the use of taught material and practical examples, participants will build up the skills needed to perform data analysis using Python.

Description

Python is an interpreted high-level programming language for general-purpose programming which is becoming the language of choice for many data analysts. This course is intended as an Introduction to the Python programming language. Through the use of taught material and practical examples, participants will build up the skills needed to perform data analysis using Python.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will have a good working knowledge of Python, allowing them to deal with and manipulate data. The final afternoon will bring all this together with a larger scale set of data on which participants will perform data analysis.

Who is this course for?

This course will appeal to anyone wanting to learn Python with no prior knowledge as well as those with a basic knowledge of Python who want to fully understand how the base language works. The course will also suit those wanting to know and understand the package Pandas and the use of data frames in Python.
