Description

The information provide in the course aims to provide the learner with the knowledge and skills they need to contribute to the prevention and control of infection. The course will explore key areas in relation to the infection control and how these specifically relate to a tattooist or piercing specialist.

The course will also cover basic knowledge on infections and infection management in order to provide the learner with an understanding of infection control in a general sense.

To be awarded the Certificate in Infection Control for Tattooists and Piercing Professionals, learners are required to successfully complete all five modules.

Module 1:– The roles, responsibilities and legislation relating to the prevention and control of infection
Module 2:– The principles of infection prevention and control
Module 3:– Cause and spread of infection
Module 4:– Cleaning, decontamination and waste management
Module 5:– Health and hygiene for tattooists and professionals who pierce the skin

Assessment

The Certificate of Achievement from Quality Licence Scheme is gained by successfully completing a series of assignments. Your personal tutor will review, mark and provide you with feedback on your work.

Certification

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
