1:1 Secondary Teaching Assistant

We are specifically working with a 'good' secondary school in Warrington who are looking to secure the services of an outstanding Teaching Assistant, to join their school to start from the new academic year. This role is to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis with behavioural needs and SEN needs.

They are looking for someone who can build a positive relationship with the child to help them settle within the general mainstream school setting. You must be comfortable with managing behaviour, have knowledge of the curriculum and EBD/SEMH.

The position is full time and 5 days a week and will be long term.

To be successful in this role, it is essential you are calm, resilient, and overall, have a good sense of humour to build positive relationships that contribute to a conducive learning environment.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Warrington
  • Position - Secondary Teaching Assistant
  • Type of work - Teaching Support
  • Start date - September 2024
  • End date - long term if successful until July 2024
  • Contract type - Temporary
  • Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay - £85 per day
  • Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree educated with a good classification (preferred but not required)
  • Teaching assistant qualification
  • SEN specialism qualifications
  • Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference)
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
  • Up to date Prevent training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
