Pertemps are currently recruiting for 7.5ton drivers for our public sector client to be based in the Edinburgh area supporting a busy waste and cleansing department.

Location: Edinburgh West
Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06.00-17.02 with 45min break
Rate of Pay: £12.81 per hour rising to £14.35 as of week 13
Temporary ongoing work

Working with an established cleansing team to carry out duties right across the city to a high standard.

Duties to Include:
  • Driving the relevant vehicles
  • Working as part of a team
  • Heavy lifting - moving and loading wheelie bins, assisting with special uplifts
  • Undertaking the appropriate vehicle checks and paperwork
  • General street cleaning duties (sweeping, litter picking, weeding)
  • Carrying out instructions given out by supervisors

Essential requirements:
  • Valid Driving Licence
  • Valid CPC
  • Valid tacho card
  • Maximum of 6 points on your licence

Successful candidates will:
  • Be flexible
  • Be reliable
  • Have excellent knowledge on driving around Edinburgh
  • Be health and safety conscious
  • Have good customer service skills
  • Have previous driving experience
  • Work outdoors in all weather
