Accountant

A well-established accountancy practice is currently recruiting for an Accountant to join its team within a varied role looking after a portfolio of clients.

This is an opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a small, friendly team, taking care of a portfolio of clients’ accounting requirements and providing valuable advice and answering queries.

As Accountant your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a key portfolio of clients, leading client meetings, advising clients, and providing rapid responses to client queries
• Nurturing and developing relationships with new and existing clients
• Attend events to enhance your business development
• Preparation and reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax, VAT and personal tax
• Dealing with all company secretarial for clients
• Setting up limited companies
• Completing directors’ only payroll

We welcome applications form experienced accountants with the following:

• ACA/ACCA - 1 year post-qualified; strong newly qualified / finalist candidates will be considered
• Significant accounting experience gained within a practice environment
• Sound judgement and initiative to find solutions and make decisions under pressure
• Ability to self-manage and self-motivate
• Work well with others and be able to offer team support
• Good IT skills with experience of accounting software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
