We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant Manager to join our friendly team in Brighton on a hybrid basis (2/3 days in the office). Our expanding team serves a diverse range of dynamic and growing clients, ranging from sole traders to multi-million-pound businesses with both a UK and global presence - this diverse clientele brings a rich variety to the role. About the role

As an Accounts Assistant Manager, you will manage, support and develop a client portfolio ensuring the optimisation of client advocacy and fee levels within the assigned portfolio. You will also help manage and support the office team including work plan allocations and team training. Your key responsibilities as an Accounts Assistant Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Plan and prioritise client Accounts work and ensure establishment of scope and budget for each piece of client Accounts work under own control and ensure adequate briefing and training to team members where relevant.
  • Preparation and delegation of key client Accounts work.
  • Supervise the progress of work and team including maintaining effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders, providing updates on the advancement of tasks.
  • Preparation and review of advisory work including management accounts, cashflow forecasting and VAT returns.
  • Portfolio management including timely billing, WIP reviews and debtor collection.
  • Work directly with clients to develop those relationships and expand advisory services delivered.
  • Opportunities to represent the firm at networking events to build our profile locally

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
  • Ability to prioritise workload and adaptable
  • Someone who has an enquiring nature
  • Team player who enjoys being part of a friendly and social team but who can work independently when required
