Accounts Assistant + Career Development Programme

Brand new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to build experience, knowledge and progress through a comprehensive career development programme.

This business has broken down their development programme into 3 clear phases enabling you as the Accounts Assistant to see how you will expand skills and progress further.

Phase 1

0 - 6 Months

  • Initial onboarding and training, meeting the full business and understanding operationally how they work and how your role sits within the business highlighting the importance of this.
  • Role development building on experience, learning and accomplishing full transactional finance duties.
  • Trained on Sage Line 50 and Sage Cloud

Phase 2

6-12 months

  • Advancing experience beyond transactional finance with additional responsibilities including management accounts preparation, budgeting, forecasting and analysis of P&L statements.
  • Mentoring less experienced colleagues and aiding in the their training and development.
  • Establishing yourself as a key member of the finance department and wider business.

Phase 3

12 months +

  • Forming part of the finance junior leadership team, being involved and included in finance transformation
  • Preparing year end accounts and annual budgets with presentation of this to the Head of Finance
  • Supervising transactional finance colleagues
