Your new company
My client an established local organisation located between Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket (just off the A14) is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join their small and supportive finance team.


Your new role
This is a varied role supporting with accounting tasks across the finance team, with particular emphasis on the purchase ledger function.
- Processing and coding purchase invoices
- Statement reconciliations
- Supplier query investigation and resolution
- Preparing payment runs
- Cashbook management
- Assisting with sales invoicing
- Assisting with chasing outstanding debt
- Collating timesheets

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of working in a small finance department and be a strong team player. Experience of the purchase ledger function will be essential, as will having confident reconciliation and query resolution skills.


What you'll get in return
£26000 - £29000 (dependent on experience / qualification)
AAT study support if you are currently studying or wish to complete your qualification
Full-time hours with an early finish Friday
Based onsite at Woolpit
