Do you like being outdoors? Would you like to work in a beautiful place for the summer?  If so, we would love to talk to you. Summer of Play is coming to Killerton and our parkland will become a festival of colour and laughter. We need an enthusiastic person to help the Visitor Experience team to ensure that every visitor has a special day out. You'll be maintaining our 6 activity areas and ensuring that standards are high, whilst engaging with our visitors. 

You'll be required to work weekends and a typical shift will be 9.30 - 5.30.

This is a short term contract to support with the Summer of Play offer. The proposed start date is the 10th July - 4th September 2024.

This role is required to work with vulnerable groups including children and any offer of employment or volunteering is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

Reporting to the Visitor Experience Officer, you'll join a team of 10.

What you'll be doing

You will be situated outdoors in the historic parkland that is set in front of Killerton House. You'll be leaning and maintaining children's activity areas to ensure that everyone has a consistently great experience. Engaging with young people, you'll be answering visitor enquiries. Supporting the the Visitor Experience team with activities aimed at Young families you'll be helping with activities such as crafting and frisbee gold tournament.

  • willing to learn new skills have a positive attitude ? 
  • understanding of different access requirements and how to assist people
