Administrative Assistant

  • Hourly Rate: £12.93
  • Location: Attercliffe, Sheffield
  • Job Type: Full time, Hybrid (2 days on-site)

We are seeking a diligent Administrative Assistant to join our team, focusing on updating records on the council housing system. This role is essential for ensuring the safety of housing staff during home visits and providing key information for housing vulnerable individuals. The position offers hybrid working, with two days a week based at Attercliffe Police Station.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Tackle the administrative backlog and update the system through accurate data entry.
  • Support and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Business Support function.
  • Maintain and assist with the development of information systems and related procedures.
  • Input, maintain, locate, and retrieve data using both computerised and manual systems.
  • Communicate and provide information for specific purposes using email and phone.
  • Produce quality documents from standard formats using a range of IT applications.
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings and events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience handling highly confidential information in accordance with GDPR.
  • Experienced administrative assistant
  • Proven administrative and data entry skills within a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work within a set timeframe.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Previous experience in a local council or police station is desirable.
  • Successful applicants will be subject to a full clean enhanced DBS check.
