Advanced SEMH Teaching Assistant required
Engage Education are looking for a driven, persevering and compassionate individual to join this exciting school that caters for children with SEMH needs aged 8 to 16.

As an ATA, you will be responsible for supporting pupils with complex SEMH needs and challenging behaviours - ensuring they receive the best experience of education and reach their full potential. You will be working with a team of dedicated professionals to provide tailored and specific support for young people who have additional requirements in either academic or social development.
This is a full-time role to start in September 2024

- Paid up to £120 per day!
- Supporting SEN Teachers and other professional staff to deliver high quality and creative educational and personal development sessions
- 1-1 small group and individual sessions
- Creating interactive and academically enriched learning experience

Person Specification
- 1 year experience working to support people with SEMH or other complex SEN difficulties.
- 1 year experience within a classroom based setting (either SEN or mainstream)
- The ideal candidates will have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient- this role can be extremely challenging but also very rewarding.
- The ability to take note of, and acting on, all issues relating to the well being and safeguarding of children.
- Prescient behaviour management skills.
- Profound ambition to contribute towards positive change in a child’s development.
- Willing to undertake training days.
