Our client is looking for an experienced Youth Justice Officer to join their team in a bustling north London Borough.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking a full range of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Supervision (APIS) responsibilities aimed at reducing and preventing offending in the local area.
  • Participating in the delivery of a wide range of YJS activities.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of a range of effective solutions to youth crime.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and assessment skills
  • The ability to implement intervention plans making best use of appropriate and targeted resources
  • Organisational skills to undertake challenging work within tight deadlines
  • Maintaining up-to-date records in line with National and local Standards
  • Knowledge of court work and case management
  • The ability to work well under your own initiative and as part of a multi-agency service The nature of the role means that flexible hours are needed, including occasional evening and weekend work.
