We are looking for a motivated Application Engineer to join a market leading manufacturing company within their respective field. Reporting directly to the engineering manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. We are seeking an experienced Metrology Applications Engineer who can lead NPI and legacy projects that ensure a consistent and accurate day-to-day component manufacturing process.

Role Description

  • Deliver Metrology for Manufacturing Readiness of assigned programs to ensure effective, on-schedule job execution.
  • Ensure thorough and capable process at launch with measurement system planning, development, and validation with Quality.
  • Research new equipment to support product and program needs and justify as part of the program for approval before executing within the program framework (CAPEX).
  • Lead Metrology and Continuous Improvement activity with Quality to ensure that measurement systems are in place and meeting or exceeding process requirements.
  • Partner with customer or internal design teams on FMEA inputs and outputs.
  • Other related duties as required or directed.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or mechanical engineering
  • 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of CMM Programming
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Understanding of the basic of manufacturing engineering
