Accounts Apprentice £11.00 per hour, Immediate Start! Letchworth

Our Client based in Letchworth are looking for an Accounts Apprentice to join their team initially on a temporary contract with a view to becoming permanent after this initial period. The role is working for a well-established SME in the manufacturing sector. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller who will be able to assist and mentor you as you establish yourself in the business. You will work across all finance transactions team, initially getting involved in credit control, reconciliations and sales ledger but with a view to progressing to purchase ledger and other finance functions.

For the successful candidate, we will provide full training for the duties you will be carrying out, and study support is available for the right person to gain a professional qualification such as AAT through an apprenticeship.

You will need to have a good level of numeracy and literacy and must possess good interpersonal skills and be a team player.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Computer Literacy
  • Communication, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Have a keen eye for 'attention to detail’

The interim contract is an opportunity for all parties to get a feel for each other before committing to a permanent appointment. Study support would be available for candidates looking to progress with accounting qualifications. Good communication, systems and Excel skills are essential.
