We are working with a provider of Social Housing, to assist them with the recruitment of their new Asset Manager on a permanent basis.

Leading the small asset team to deliver high levels of performance and customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring programmes of works are effectively managed and represent value for money will be the main purpose of the successful individual.

Duties will include:

  • Contributing to the development and delivery of the Asset Management Strategy to ensure effective asset management.
  • Participating in the setting of maintenance budgets, in accordance with the financial and asset management strategy.
  • Planning and managing short, medium and long-term programmes of major repairs within budget and business plan constraints.
  • Maintain up to date data on stock condition.
  • Develop and implement data monitoring systems, financial reporting, quality control, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead and manage the team, creating a high-performance culture through supporting, coaching and developing colleagues.
  • Ensure effective engagement, liaison and communication with customers, ensuring their needs and views are taken into account in the development and delivery of services.
  • Ensure that all contracts, contractors, and suppliers are managed effectively
  • Ensure strategic and operational performance indicators are accurately measured and reported to enable performance is fully understood and targets achieved.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Significant experience in property related Asset Management including experience within responsive and planned maintenance.
  • In-depth understanding and experience of creating and implementing a rolling 5 year maintenance programme, and 30 year business plan forecasts.
  • Experience of working at senior level; leading and managing a team.
  • A good practical knowledge of working with asbestos, working within CDM Regulation, and monitoring Safe Systems of Working.
  • Strong contract and project management experience with the delivery of a range of Asset Management programmes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks applicable to asset management; investment and sustainability in the affordable housing environment.
