UK Finance Manager (German speaking ideally)
Client Details
Our client, a well known & growing International Construction business based near Didcot (Oxfordshire) is looking for an Finance Manager to join their UK Accountancy team, reporting into the Group Financial Controller based in Zurich.
Job Description - Assistant Accountant
- Cashbooks Management.
- invoicing clients - for UK & CH projects and other Sales Ledger duties.
- PO’s - for UK & CH projects, incl. Project & PO No’s.
- Purchase Invoices, Payables and Expenses.
- VAT Returns - quarterly.
- CIS Returns - monthly.
- Accounts Administration.
- Loading payments on the bank.
- Reconciling the bank accounts for UK Entity.
- Reconciling Balance Sheet accounts for UK Entity.
- Managing an outsourced payroll agency.
- Acting as a point of liaison for all UK accounting queries in the first instance.
- Assisting in preparing the UK Entity Managment Accounts.
- Assisting Group Financial Controller.
- Deputising for Group Financial Controller.
Profile
A successful candidate will be available on short notice & have a good level of experience with the above items.
Essential Requirements
- AAT qualified (minimum) - Ideally Part CIMA/ Part ACCA
- Willingness to continue studying, progressing professionally and taking on more responsibility over time.
- Familiarity with Xero and comfortable to use the system with minimal support.
- Self starter, excellent at self managing to deadlines, working well both alone and also as part of a fragmented team.
Desirable Requirements
- German speaking as second language (to aid communication and deputising for Swiss Group FC).
- Experience of the construction/ contracting sector.
Job Offer
Salary £40,000 - £50,000
40 hour working week
