Butler Rose are working on an exciting opportunity to recruit for Assistant Accountant, you will be a pivotal member of the Finance team. This role offers the chance to contribute to the companys success by delivering reliable management accounts and conducting thorough stock analysis.

The successful candidate will take ownership of their role, demonstrating a practical, self-starting attitude. They will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves to support team members as needed. For those with the ambition to learn, we offer full study support for AAT or CIMA/ACCA qualifications.

Key responsibilities include: assisting the Financial Controller with monthly management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting. You will also contribute to year-end audit deliverables and aid in the preparation of financial statements. Additionally, you will be involved in daily and weekly sales reporting, stock analysis, and control, including margin analysis and supervision of stock counts.

In addition to these duties, you will perform various ad-hoc tasks such as bank reconciliations, providing support for accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with cash flow management. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to company-wide projects to support business strategy changes.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of finance, excellent communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail. They should be able to deliver accurate information with limited supervision and demonstrate problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential. AAT or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA accreditation is required, and experience in a multi-site business or FP&A would be advantageous.
