About the opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our fast-paced Finance team as an Assistant Management Accountant (AMA) to support a project on fixed-term assets.
The AMA will have a defined set of responsibilities across both the profit & loss account and the balance sheet, and you will also be producing and presenting monthly results to senior leadership within the financial accounts team. 
The Assistant Management Accountant will benefit from support from three other colleagues in the team, plus the leadership and support of one of our Finance Managers.
The role is hybrid with 2-3 days in our Customer Support Centre in Walsall alongside the wider finance team. Please note the role is fixed-term for six months.

Registering additions/disposals/transfers against the four asset books within Oracle
Reconcile the Fixed Asset Work in Progress queue and support the team in developing a robust process for accounting for the assets correctly
Provide support to the Finance team in the preparation of monthly Capex Reporting
Assist with closing the Fixed Asset registers as part of the month-end process and understanding the drivers behind depreciation forecast/budget variances
Work with team members to drive process improvements to ensure the correct controls are in place to monitor the revaluation of foreign currency transactions  
Liaise with members of the Finance/Cash/Accounts Payable and reconciliation teams to investigate FX valuation issues and post the appropriate corrections
Skills and Knowledge… • Advantageous but not essential to be part qualified ACCA/CIMA
• Ideally have worked with Oracle before
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
• The ability to provide real added value, insight, and interpretation into the numbers you are reporting.
• Be able to articulate the recipient of reports and balance sheet reconciliations
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to build strong relationships with other Finance team members and stakeholders
• An understanding and empathy for the challenges of front-line operations, providing assistance and support to the benefit of the business
