Autism Support Worker - Guildford

I am currently working with a lovely school in Guildford who are urgently seeking a Autism Support Worker to support pupils to start immediately.

About the role:

The needs of the pupils they cater for range from:

  • ASC (verbal and non-verbal)

  • Learning difficulties

  • Complex needs

The school caters for children from 3-19 with a range of severe and complex learning disabilities and profound and multiple learning disabilities (including complex medical needs). A very high proportion of pupils also have a diagnosis of ASD as well as additional complex needs.

We welcome applicants with a good understanding of working with students with ASC and profound, multiple learning difficulties and are enthusiastic about raising the attainment of their pupils.

You will ideally have experience in supporting children with special educational needs (professionally or personally) or will have a passion for working with students with special educational needs. By being proactive and taking initiative, you are going to be able to build relationships with students and gain knowledge of a wide variety of needs.
