Automotive Technical Support Advisor

Our client is a global organisation with a vision to create a clean and energy-efficient future by delivering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions for the automotive market who are looking for an Automotive Technical Support Advisor to join them on a permanent basis.

The Automotive Technical Support Advisor will be providing support to the client’s distributors, customers and end users with all aspects of their product range. This will include providing a dynamic phone, live web chat and email support service. The candidate should be comfortable in working in a fast paced, fun and varied environment.

In return, the successful Automotive Technical Support Advisor will benefit from a competitive salary, Hybrid working model on completion of probation (2 days Office), Enhanced Holiday Entitlement of 33 days per year (incl of Bank Holidays) and an Enhanced Pension Scheme.


Key roles and responsibilities for the Automotive Technical Support Advisor

  • Provide customer support via telephone
  • Focusing on hard product support, I.e. Steering/Suspension/Braking/Diesel/Engine Management
  • Support resolution of technical queries utilising resources available.
  • Answer/Redirect webform submissions relating to northern region
  • Create required reporting in line with business requirements to improve process
  • Assist with Technical Articles / Masters of Motion
  • Assist with trade shows/customer events
  • Support Warranty process
  • Diagnostic tool support via team viewer
  • Diagnostic tool commissioning / Exchange units
  • Become a DS180/480 expert.
  • Follow up leads with sales team and support sales opportunities where required (Including Software Renewal)

What we’re looking for in the ideal Automotive Technical Support Advisor

  • Working experience or knowledge of vehicle systems would be ideal
  • Prior experience or knowledge of Steering/Suspension/Braking/Diesel/Engine Management would be ideal
  • Familiar with using diagnostic equipment would be ideal
  • A proactive individual looking for a challenge
  • Good I.T Skills are a must
  • Excellent Phone / Email manner
  • Pride in customer service
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Good team player
  • A passion for the automotive industry
