Our client is looking for a Bid Writer to join their team. You don’t need to have experience in Bid-Writing (although preferred) but we would be happy to look at anyone from a background in Journalism, blog-writing or a candidate that has a passive for writing in a commercial setting.

As a Bid Writer you will be joining the commercial team reporting to the Bid Manager.

As a Bid-writer you will:

  • Work alongside all key stakeholders to successfully secure new business and retain existing maintenance contracts through re tenders and renewals.
  • Complete Approved Supplier Questionnaires and Pre-Qualification Questionnaires.
  • Write work-winning quality and technical written responses.
  • Apply Company Pricing Policies or create bespoke pricing matrix as required for bid responses.
  • Talk to other teams Estimating, Operations, Sales and HR, to complete the bid accurately.
  • Responsible for the final preparation and delivery of bids to strict deadlines through print, email or portal submission.
  • Attend site visits, external interviews and presentations as required.

The successful Bid-Writer must:

  • Ideally having previous experience of Bid Writing but we can provide full training, if you have the drive to learn a new skill and a passion for writing helps!
  • A background in Journalism, blog-writing, content-writing or English Literature.
  • Strong writing and administration skills.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel and other parts of the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
