Business Architect

Hoist Finance are currently looking to recruit a Business Architect to join their team in Manchester. This is an exceptionally exciting position where you will be responsible for business process improvement and business design throughout the organisation. You will act as the custodian for the operating model and business process documentation. You will be working with counterparts in IT and Business Markets to align technical solutions with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Architect you will be accountable for:

• Applying a structured business architect approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise.
• Developing a business architecture with strategy-based business scenarios and motivations.
• Developing and formalising the appropriate frameworks for a business architecture definition.
• Capturing tactical and strategic goals that provide traceability through the group.
• Describing and documenting the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguishing between customer-facing, supplier related, business execution and business management functions.
• Developing and owning the business architect strategy
• Defining the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between the data

Essential Skills

• A broad, enterprise-wide view of business and appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities
• The ability to recognise structural issues within organisations, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies
• Experience of leading business process improvement and the ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions
• Extensive experience in supporting business functions to understand their process and develop requirements for future improvements
• Excellent stakeholder management experience
• The ability to visualise and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture
