Business Manager

£35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Grantham - office based

Full Time, Permanent, Mon - Fri, 9am-5pm

As a Commercial Manager, you will be at the forefront of fostering strong, productive relationships with clients. This role involves strategic oversight of the account management team, ensuring excellence in service delivery, client satisfaction and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in energy procurement and management, alongside proven leadership skills and a commitment to driving team success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor your team, setting performance goals, providing regular feedback and ensuring professional development.
  • Oversee the management of key client accounts, ensuring all client needs and expectations are met with high-quality service delivery.
  • Spearhead the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance client retention and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the commercial and sales teams to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Manage and resolve complex client issues, providing solutions that align with company policies and client satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all account management activities.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies in line with company goals aimed at accelerating growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, contract negotiation and market dynamics.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and lead a team towards achieving business goals.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to providing outstanding client service.
