We have a fantastic opportunity a Business Support Officer at Trafford Council. This is a full-time temporary role for the next 2 months, with the possibility of extension.

What is the role?

Trafford Council are looking for a Business Support Officer to work in our small but very busy Safeguarding Team. As a Business Support Officer, you will provide efficient business support to the service. You will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and other stakeholders to meet service needs.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Effective and proficient diary management.
  • Effective communication with Partners.
  • Taking minutes of meetings and providing the administration surrounding that.
  • Experienced in the use of the electronic system for invoice payments etc. or training can be provided around this.
  • You will need to have a good understanding of IT systems.
  • Be able to work under your own initiative.
  • You will be working in a small but busy team and will need to be well organised, and you should be able to work well alone, as well as part of a team.

What skills do you Need?

  • Must have previous Business Support Officer / Administration experience.
  • Excellent people skills, as you will be speaking to the public, and other members of staff.
  • Strong IT Skills, as you will be using Microsoft office packages including word and excel, along with internal council IT systems as well.
  • Previous Minute Taking Experience will also be required.
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Working Hours Monday to Friday full time 36.25 hours a week
