We are currently looking for a Performance & Business Support Officer to join our Waste & Street Cleansing Services team. In this vital role, you'll support the operational and strategic functions of the service, ensuring our teams run efficiently, our performance is continually improving, and that we consistently deliver excellent service to the public.
Key Responsibilities:Provide technical and administrative support across Waste & Street Scene Services
Monitor service performance and customer behaviour, offering analysis and insight for improvements
Assist with staff record-keeping, daily allocations, agency placement tracking and leave requests
Support the management team with route reviews, operational planning, and service analysis
Maintain and update ICT systems with live data and help implement new digital tools
Manage stock control and ordering for service needs (e.g. PPE), ensuring budget compliance
Track and manage incidents and accidents, producing reports on trends and safety issues
Cover for Operational Support Officers as needed and support educational outreach initiatives
Deliver a flexible, customer-focused service - including the possibility of weekend or off-site work
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Confident user of ICT systems and data analysis tools
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and service delivery
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
Knowledge or experience in local government, environmental services, or waste management is desirable
£17 per hour pay
