Your primary responsibilities would be to:
- Seek quotes on prices and availability of materials from a variety of suppliers
- Negotiate best prices with suppliers and manage the order placing process
- Purchase goods, supplies and other relevant services including those for FM
- Identify potential suppliers and new products
- Liaise between suppliers and relevant internal departments (i.e Project Management and Facilities Management teams)
- Closely monitor and report delivery schedules to and from sites
- Keep detailed records and maintain a well organised work schedule
- Assess the reliability of suppliers and delivery performance
- Conduct supplier list reviews to secure approved supplier list
- Ensure all materials comply with Health and Safety guidelines
- Any other duties commensurate with the post
You must be proficient in Ms Word/Excel as well as have a firm knowledge of building services and FM industry. CIPS qualification would also be an advantage in this role.
