As a Senior Catastrophic Injury Associate, you will play a pivotal role handling complex cases and providing invaluable support to clients during challenging times.

About the Position:

  • The work portfolio is remarkably diverse, encompassing multi-million-pound cases that transport the firm from desks to courtrooms across the UK.
  • The team oversees all facets of a claim, including liability investigations, policy coverage evaluations, and quantum assessments across all levels of Multi-Track claims.
  • This role will entail assisting on various large loss endeavors spanning motor, EL/PL, and indemnity cases.

The Role

  • This presents an exceptional opportunity to join a burgeoning team within the multi-award-winning firm. The successful applicant should demonstrate a drive for success and career development as a Senior Associate, ideally possessing experience in defendant large loss litigation.
  • However, transferable skills acquired in a Claimant environment will also be considered.
  • The level of PQE for this role is adaptable, as the firm prioritize the right level of experience and skill set, welcoming applications from all individuals who feel they align with the role's requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with all team members, you'll be immersed in diverse tasks, predominantly acting on behalf of various insurance companies and self-insured commercial entities.
  • Assisting in a varied caseload encompassing motor, EL/PL, and indemnity large loss cases.
  • Conducting investigations with live defenders, gathering witness statements, and reviewing and interpreting medical records and reports.
  • Identifying information requisites and securing necessary documentation/evidence from claimant representatives.
  • Adhering to reporting and reserving mandates concerning different client SLAs.
  • File management duties include initial reports, updating reports, and correspondence.
  • Attending court proceedings and pre-trial meetings, and adhering to court schedules.
  • Supporting the Partners in serving existing clients, fostering new business, and maintaining client relationships through technical proficiency and innovation.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • You'll be a resolute individual capable of thriving within a demanding, fast-paced team environment.
  • Experience in personal injury litigation is required.
  • You relish the challenge posed by complex legal issues and possess a hunger for expanding your knowledge.
